CBFC Global Missions Strategy

For the past year, the Global Impact Committee (GIC) has been meeting to restructure our mission's policy. The GIC has taken the direction of partnering with those Missionaries who are planting churches as the main emphasis of CBFC. With God's leading, we are looking to work in 6 areas of the world where we as a body of believers can work with nationals to build a body of believers to reach their people.

Our Global Focus Strategy will take us to: France, Haiti, Mexico, Scotland, Kazakhstan, the Philippines and the Chinese Church that meets at CBFC. We would like to invite you to be a part of these partnership teams to advance the kingdom of God around the world.

We also feel that God is leading us to do more in the USA. As you will read below, we are looking to plant more local churches in Berks County which we believe will have a much larger impact on our community.

Our Vision

Our prayer is that men and women from every walk of life throughout the entire world might see and come to know our Lord clearly and vividly in all they do, and also learn the richness and joy of a life lived by His grace and power through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

This is done through the Acts 1:8 model: "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

For us, this means that:

  • Jerusalem = Berks County, PA
  • Judea = NY, NJ, MD, DE, PA
  • Samaria = the rest of the United States
  • The Ends of the Earth = the rest of the world outside the United States

Our Mission Statement

Calvary Bible Fellowship Church exists "to bring people to Jesus and Membership in His family, to develop them to Christ-like Maturity, equip them for their Ministry in the church and their life Mission in the world in order to Magnify God."

Long-term Missions Goals (3-5 years):

1. Partner with the Bible Fellowship Church Board Of Missions, other outside agencies' church extension opportunities, and other missionaries to plant churches in at least five of the following primary affinity groups (in no specific order):

  • European peoples (Moyers, France)
  • Northern African and Middle Eastern peoples
  • Sub-Saharan African peoples (Rangi people, Tanzania)
  • Central Asian peoples (Ruths, Kazakhstan)
  • Southern Asian peoples (Fernandez, Philippines)
  • Eastern Asian peoples
  • Southeastern Asian peoples
  • American peoples (Central & South Americas)
  • Deaf peoples (Jamaica; AMD)

2. Participate in disaster relief efforts as needed within the United States. Work to collaborate with Deacons to develop coordination of what is needed.

3. Adopt one un-reached people group.

4. Plant at least five churches and/or CBFC satellites throughout the United States. Current possibilities include the Rock of Reading, Exeter, Muhlenberg, Denver, and Womelsdorf.

5. Encourage the members of CBFC to participate in one or more short-term missions trips locally or abroad as part of their Christian development.

  • Our primary purpose is to strengthen national believers and/or evangelize non-believers.

  • Our secondary purpose is to mobilize and educate the congregation of CBFC to be more active in missions.
